This week I'm posting a sketch that I've had on the back-burner for a few weeks. Touching it off and on; here and there. Still don't have a full direction to where I want to take it. Currently I am liking the level it's at.
Every week I work on art just about every day and yet when Thursday comes around I usually feel like I don't have anything to show. I want to keep pushing myself to get better work. Which is defiantly true for this week. So this evening I worked on pushing it ever so slightly further.
Introducing some lighting options here to the 'Reading Room'. I feel like I am at a cross roads on this piece, one direction is to push through and drop down to it's foundation then rework the piece through using my current progress as a strong base. The other is to set aside the entire work as a solid concept, go back to ground zero and re-establish a new base.
For now I'm going to take a step back. Next week will be some stand alone sketches or studies.
Making some progress on the Reading Room illustration I'm working on. Now on the process of blocking out the scene, adding some details and objects to fill the story. Soon I'll have to make a strong decision on how to light the scene and the overall color composition.
